Family therapy and parent training can be beneficial to those who have lost a connection with their child. Family participation and involvement in therapy can make all the difference.
Supplemental Services
Rural Nevada
Professionals at Journey Within are passionate about the issues facing Rural Nevada. Our therapists offer individualized plans for children and families living in the outlying areas. Treatment plans can be supplemented with Telehealth Therapy to support the individual between face-to-face sessions.
Social Skills Group
Young people all over America are struggling to build the emotional intelligence and necessary social skills that will help them to successfully navigate relationships. Much of this is due to excessive dependence on electronics and a general focus on being "comfortable" rather than allowing kids to struggle. Journey Within offers a Social Skills Group for middle school kids as well as for teens of all ages. This is a weekly group that runs 10-12 weeks at a time. Since opening their doors, Journey Within has worked closely with Carson City Juvenile Probation, the Division of Child and Family Services and the Carson City School District - Safe School Professionals to provide a variety of services to youth and families in Carson City and the surrounding communities.
